One of my favorite things to shoot is headshots, especially actor headshots. I love understanding the character, personality and energy of a person, then capturing that essence on camera. It all starts with knowing what type of lighting, location, style, color and details will represent the actors image. This also relates to the agency and what they prefer as well as the types of roles and opportunities an actor will have for their market. Lastly is the rapport between the photographer and the actor. This is one of the most overlooked areas of photography. Understanding each other, laughing and positive communication is a major part of a successful photoshoot. I’ve always taken great pride in my rapport with my clients and it shows in my work.
